Startup Junkie Consulting, in partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration, is excited to announce the launch of the "InnovateHER: 2015 Innovating for Women Business Challenge Business Competition" for up to $30,000 in prize money.
The SBA is looking for innovative products and services that help impact and empower women’s lives as they navigate the challenges of a changing work and family life.
Of specific interest are products or services that have a measurable impact on the lives of women and families, have the potential for commercialization and fill a need in the marketplace.
The local competition for this challenge will take place Friday, March 27 at 6 pm. at 1 East Center St, 2nd Floor, Fayetteville, AR (above Bouchée Bistro on the Fayetteville square.)

We will select 3-5 companies to pitch a ten-minute presentation on Friday, March 27th to our panel of judges and attendees. The public is invited to attend this competition.
Winners of the regional competition will be submitted to the SBA for a chance to present in Washington, D.C. during National Small Business Week, May 4-8, where they will pitch to a panel of judges and compete for up to $30,000 in prize money! This opportunity also provides businesses with exposure on a national level.

Report Predicts NWA will be Third Fastest Growing Economy
Among Large Metro Areas through 2020
A new report published Friday, June 20, predicts Northwest Arkansas will be the third fastest-growing economy among large metropolitan areas in the nation through 2020.
The forecast prepared by IHS Global Insight was released at the U.S. Conference of Mayors meetings in Dallas. The report shows the economy is expected to grow by 4.2 percent annually through 2020. Only the Austin-Round Rock-San Marcos MSA in Texas (4.4 percent) and Raleigh-Cary in North Carolina (4.3 percent) are expected to grow at a faster rate. More
Benton County Leading the Pack in Latest ATB Index
The latest Arkansas Tech Business Index (ATBI) was recently released for February 2014 and Benton County cities took the top two spots on the list.
Rogers and Bentonville were the only cities in the state to have an index score over 105.
